I like the idea of what the jukebox feature can add to my establishment but I’m worried about the song selection of my patrons.

Don’t worry. BarBox gives you complete control over what your patrons are allowed to choose. You can ban songs, artists, genres, and songs with explicit lyrics. If you like the jukebox feature but only want to play music you love, no problem. Create playlists with YOUR favourite music and allow patrons to only choose songs from that list. You also have the power to turn off/on the jukebox setting when you want.

I’m using BarBox in my establishment but the music selection is too random. How can I play music in my establishment that is fitting to the atmosphere?

In the top left corner, you will see the “Settings” icon. This is your command centre. This page gives control of the music that is played in your establishment. Here you can organize your establishment’s atmosphere by selecting specific music styles to specific time frames in the day and throughout the week. You can also toggle on/off the jukebox feature and ban artist/songs. Click the link to watch our instructional video:

Many of my customers have asked for a particular song that I’ve banned. How can I allow that song to be played while still banning the artist’s other songs?

If a customer requests a song that is banned (on the “Black List”) you will see it arrive in your “Waiting List”. Here you can choose to allow it to be played once or remove it from the banned list completely. These options are available under “Customers add option” in “Settings”.

What happens if the connection to my internet cuts out?

BarBox allows you to add your own MP3’s to be used as backups in case you have unstable internet. If you don’t have MP3’s, you can download our backup playlist. If your internet cuts out, the music will cross fade into the backup playlist so that there is never an awkward silence in your establishment.

I can’t find a playlist perfect for my bar. What Can I do?

BarBox updates its playlists regularly to adhere to the trends of our users and the needs of our customers. With that said, if you want something more specific, you can add/remove from specific playlists or even create your own playlists! Upload your backup playlist in the “Settings” section.

Something doesn’t seem right with my BarBox page. What should I do?

Click on the “settings” icon and then “Report an Error”. If for whatever reason, something doesn’t seem to be working, please let us know and we will work quickly to resolve this error.

My customer wants to push his song ahead of other songs. Is that possible?

Customers can push songs ahead with BarBox coins. Inform your customer that they can purchase BarBox Coins from the App Store or from Google Play. Alternatively, you (the establishment) also have the power to manually move songs if you like.

How do I sign up as an app user?

You don’t have to sign up to anything as a user. Simply download the app, and start using!

What if one customer chooses many songs at once before anyone else. Will other customers have to wait until ALL of those songs are finished playing?

No. In this way we are different from a traditional jukebox. If customers want to choose songs after one customer has chosen many songs at once, the songs will be pushed ahead and placed throughout the long list. This keeps things fair.

If more than one customer chooses a song to play at the same time, will the first song cut out?

No. BarBox acts the way a traditional jukebox works. If many different people choose different songs, they will be put in a cue. The next song will not play until the current song is finished.
